I just realized that I will soon have to update the image on the opening page. We are approaching the 15th anniversary of this site's creation! Amazing, simply amazing.

It was actually created sometime late in 1995, with the oldest records in the archives only going back to January of 1996.

15 years!
In computer years, that's almost a decade and a half Smile Well, it's a long time to be around on the Internet. You are to be commended.

The WWW came online in 1995. Were you "online", in text mode, before the Web?

(I was using the Internet to send messages and files as early as the '80's and was doing "charismatic apologetics" on Compuserve and Delphi forums in the early '90's.)

Actually, the web was invented in 1992 in CERN and NASA had a strong presence. I was the first webmaster for the NASA Ames Research Center, until I left NASA in 1995. Unfortunately, the waybackmachine didn't start collecting web sites until 1996-97

I was also an official Catholic forum moderator on Compuserve during the 80's. We may have sparred side by side against some of the drive by evangelists!

We ran a dial up BBS out of our home back in the late 80's. My son cut his teeth as the BBS forum administrator, before graduating to running his own, dialup MUD. (We are actually trying to find an archival copy of the MUD's source to put it back online, for the fun of it.)

I haven't thought about this stuff in years!
